Earlier this month, images began surfacing online of the alleged 99Ginger x New Balance 1906R "Green." Made in collaboration with the Parisian music collective, it straight-up gave the old school running shoe its most high-fashion makeover yet.
While most 1906Rs work on top of ballistic mesh bases and are overlaid by panels of leather or suede or even nylon, 99Ginger's take on the New Balance model is completely covered in a glossy croc-inspired print that looks and feels insanely luxurious. From the toebox all the way to the heel counter, the gloriously green material makes its way throughout the entire upper.
The "N" logo on the lateral and medial sidewalls is kept in black, and this is complemented by a stealthy ABZORB midsole down below. It's then lined with a blacked out N-ERGY rubber outsole for additional grip and traction. To finish it off, the insole is dipped in a striking royal blue hue. It's something that nobody else but you will notice, but it's a detail that sets it apart from the rest of the crowd.
Unfortunately, the 99Ginger x New Balance 1906R "Green" will only be available to the brand's inner circle. With that said, it will drop at The Edit LDN very soon, so make sure you keep it locked for your best chance to cop.
